A School of Schools: Design as Learning

2019,
Arles / FR, LUMA Art Foundation

02/05/2019 - 29/05/2019

The exhibition brings the work of 60 designers from social design, architecture and fine arts to the view, with the focus on design as learning. The exhibition architecture is related to the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial’s scenography which was made with adaptations of III+1 structures of Lukas Wegwerth. In Istanbul the content was spread over six art spaces while in Arles, the exhibition takes place in the grand halls of Mecanique located in Parc des Ateliers. A whole new spatial arrangement reacts to the sober architecture of this continuous exhibition space and creates a new narrative between the exhibited works.
